Fashion photography has been refined into an art form by eminent photographers and has come to be exhibited in the world’s most prestigious galleries and museums. Publishers also release new collections of outstanding photographs each year.
How did these photographers manage to forge such distinguished careers, and carve their names not only into fashion magazines but also into the history of photography itself? For many photographers over the last more than 100 years, it has been Condé Nast that launched their careers by publishing their work in their flagship magazine, VOGUE.
Featuring original prints and actual magazine pages carefully selected from Condé Nast’s archives in New York, Paris, London and Milan, the collection includes prized works by Horst P. Horst, Erwin Blumenfeld, Guy Bourdin, Helmut Newton, Bruce Weber, Peter Lindbergh, Tim Walker and numerous other prominent photographers whose works were published in Condé Nast magazines at the outset of their careers. This exhibition has been touring major cities worldwide and will debut in Japan at CHANEL NEXUS HALL.
