Satomi Ogawa
Studied at Tokyo College of Music, there obtaining her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music. She also studied at the International Summer Academy of Salzburg Mozarteum with a scholarship from the College. She was then invited for three years to the New National Theatre Young Artist Training Program in Tokyo. She was also awarded numerous prizes at notable competitions around Japan. In addition, Ms.Ogawa was granted the 2006-2007 Fellowship by the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists, she studied with Mr. Vincenzo Scalera in Italy. In 2009, she debuted as Principessa Turandot at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona in Italy as the winner of Turandot International Competition under Fondation of Arena Di Verona. She had a big success with the title role of Iris by Mascagni at Tokyo Art Theater and Kyoto Concert Hall in 2011. She has invited to sing at 47th Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago of Italy with Liu of Turandot in 2011, she gave a strong impression to the audience. In 2012 she has invited to perform Liu again in Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova as second company of Ms.Mariella Devia. In 2013 she has sung Leonore of Fidelio for 50th Anniversary of Nissei Theater in Japan. Her busy schedule of operatic performances and recitals has enabled her to work with conductors Niels Muus, Jérôme Kaltenbach, Antonio Pirolli, Michiyoshi Inoue, Yutaka Sado , Marek Janowski and Keri Lynn Wilson as well as directors Ubaldo Gardini, Robert Herzl, Robert Fortune, Michael McCaffery, Daniele Abbado, Giuliano Montaldo and Gianfranco De Bosio.
