Ribon Aida
Violin

Born in 1990, Ribon Aida started studying violin under Asako Iwasawa, Saburo Sumi at the age of 5. She graduated from the music course of Toho Gakuen Music High School and completed the soloist diploma course at Toho Gakuen School of Music. In 2010, she won 1st prize in the strings division and top prize in all instruments divisions at the 6th Romanian International Music Competition. At the 81st Music Competition of Japan in 2012, in addition to 1st prize, she was given the Masuzawa Prize, Leucadia Prize, Kuroyanagi Prize and Washimi Prize. In 2014, she won 1st prize at the 3rd Akiyoshidai Music Competition Chamber Music Division. She has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Romania National Radio Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and has participated in music festivals such as Miyazaki International Music Festival, Music Festival: Argerich's Meeting Point in Beppu, and Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto. In 2014, she formed “Quarted Okushiga” and performed at various concerts and venues such as Project Q Chapter12, Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. She has appeared in TV programs such as "La, la, la Classic" on NHK E-tele and "Classic Club" on NHK-BS. Currently, she is studying under Tsugio Tokunaga. She studied chamber music under Seiji Ozawa, Sadao Harada, Koichiro Harada, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Machie Oguri, Tomoko Kato, Yoshiko Kawamoto and Yosuke Kawasaki.
