Reina Suzuki
Soprano
She completed the undergraduate and graduate course of Vocal Music, Vocal Performance of Tokyo College of Music with the top of the classes. She studied under Noriko Ichikawa, Yoko Tachibana and Walter Moore.
She won the first prize in the 86th Music Competition of Japan (Vocal Music Section), and the first prize in the fourth Ljuba Welitsch International Vocal Music Competition, represented Asia in “NEUE STIMMEN (New Voice) 2013” in the 15th International Singing Competition, won the third prize, Yomiuri Shinbun Prize and Japan-Italy Music Association Award in the 49th Japan-Italy Consorso, the third prize in the 65th Students Music Concours of Japan (Vocal Music University Section), the first prize in the Second Tokyo International Vocal Music Competition, the first prize in the 11th Tokyo College of Music Competition.
She played Blonde in an opera “The Abduction from the Seraglio (Die Entführung aus dem Serail)” in Nissay Theatre, the title role in “Lucia di Lammermoor”, Musetta in “La Bohème”, Giannetta in “The Elixir of Love (L'elisir d'amore)”, and Saika in an opera “BLACKJACK”. She has been widening her appeal, performing with orchestras in and outside of Japan in various concerts including when she sang the national anthem solo in 2018 Jingu Opening series.
She has been devoting herself to her study in Munich and Vienna as an oversea trainee from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, as well as an oversea music trainee from Meiji Yasuda Quality of Life Cultural Foundation. She released a debut album “Bell Song” by Nippon Columbia co., ltd. in 2019.
