Ko Taniguchi
Violin
Born in Mie, Japan. Graduated from Gnessin State Musical College, Moscow in 2002. Enrolled at Eastman School of Music on a full scholarship. Won the first prize in the Eastman Concerto Competition. Continued his studies in the Julliard School and obtained a Master of Music Degree in 2008. As a chamber music player, appeared at the Carnegie Hall, at Bargemusic in New York. In 2008, performed with the International Sejong Soloists in a tour of Korea and recorded a CD in New York. Participated in several music festivals including Aspen Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival and Lucerne Festival Academy. Studied violin under Vesna and Igor Gruppman, Grigory Feigin, Oleh Krysa, Masao Kawasaki. Studied chamber music under Robert McDonald and Julian Martine.
