Isana Akita

A graduate of Keio University, Isana Akita studied under Noboru Muraji and has participated in numerous masterclasses both in Japan and abroad, including those led by Shin-ichi Fukuda and Yasuji Ohagi. He studied with Oscar Ghiglia at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy, where he was awarded the final diploma for two consecutive years. He also pursued further training with Gérard Abiton at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris.
Akita has received numerous awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the Taiwan International Guitar Competition and first prize at the International Guitar Competition in Albi, France. He was selected as a soloist for the prestigious “Listen to the Rising Guitarists – Hakuju Guitar Festa 2019,” where he earned high acclaim from a full-house audience. He also performed alongside top guitarists from various genres at the “Yamaha Hall 10th Anniversary Acoustic Guitar Festival Special Concert Vol.1.”
Since then, he has given acclaimed recitals at venues such as Hakuju Hall and Oji Hall, and has appeared for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024) in recital programs hosted by Kirari Hall in Kamagaya City. His concert series titled “L’atelier ISANA”, his daily music program “Morning Routine Music”on a communication app, and his travel-themed YouTube channel “Tabi Guitar” have all received widespread attention.
He has appeared on prominent media platforms including NHK-FM’s “Recital Passio” and TV Asahi’s “Untitled Concert”. His debut album “AQUARELLE”, released by DENON/Nippon Columbia, was selected as a “Special Selection” by Record Geijutsu, Japan’s leading classical music magazine. Akita is widely praised for his refined technique, expressive subtlety, and rich musical versatility.
