Chisako Naoe
Violin
Taking up the violin at the age of four, Chisako Naoe attended Toho Girls’ Junior and Senior HighSchool before graduating from Toho Gakuen School of Music. Since enrolling at Toho Gakuen shehas performed at various music festivals and recitals including the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy’sOpera Project, Saito Kinen Chamber Music Study Group, Miyazaki Internation Music Festival, MitoChamber Orchestra, JT Chamber Music Series, Tokyo Opera No Mori, Saito Kinen FestivalMatsumoto, Project Q, Minato Mirai Classic Cruise, and Orchestra Map’s. As an artist registeredwith the Japan Foundation for Regional Art-Activities, she has held concerts for elementary andjunior high school students and local citizens, and actively engages in outreach activities. ChisakoNaoe has studied under Masao Araya, Eiko Ichikawa and Tsugio Tokunaga. She has also received amusic scholarship from the Rohm Music Foundation to study as a visiting research associate inmusic in Berlin under Stephan Picard. She was a season member of Kioi Sinfonietta Tokyo in 2011,and is currently the principal 2nd violinist with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.
