Violin
Chihiro Inda was born in Tokyo in 1982 and took her first violin lesson at the age of 3.Whilst studying at Music High School and the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, she won Third Prize at the Novosibirsk International Competition for Young violinists(1998), Third Prize at the Wolfgang Marschner International Competition(2002), and First Prize at the Toshiya Eto Violin Competition(2004). She has studied with Gyorgy Pauk, Kazuki Sawa, Asako Yoshikawa, and Wolfgang Marschuner and has participated in lessons and master classes with Oleh Krysa, Hermann Krbbers, Thomas Brandis and Federico Agostini. Chihiro studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London from 2004 to 2006 and gaind her DipRAM Award, the highest award of the Royal Academy. Since her concerto debut with Japan Philharmonic Orchestra in 2005, Chihiro has been performing as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician at home and abroad. Chihiro has appeared in the "CHANEL Pygmalion Days 2009" concert series, NHK-FM Radio, and her recordings include "Violin Works by Japanese Female Composers" and "Violin Works by Koscak Yamada"which feature western classical music in Japan.
