Léa Lacaze-Tanaka
Piano
Born in 2000, Ms. Tanaka began playing the piano at the age of five and is currently studying as a scholarship student at the École Normale de Musique de Paris (5éme Exécution). Among the awards she has won are the French Music Prize at The International Piano Competition of Orleans in 2008, 1st prize in the piano competition at the Festival Archipel, semi-finalist at the OSAKA International Music Competition, 1st prize at both the Chatou Piano Competition and the Ranelagh Piano Competition in 2010, and 3rd prize in the “Young Soloists” category at the International Piano Competition of the Town of Gagny in 2013. She also won 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition of Ile de France, Maisons-Laffitte in 2014. She is currently expanding her areas of performance and in addition to playing at concerts sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and the 3rd Arrondissement of Paris, she has also played in theatrical performances of “L’océandans la rizière” (directed by Sayori Okada and written by Richard Collasse) at the National Library of France in 2015. To date, Ms. Tanaka has studied under Miki Narai, and Mark André.
